    Elizabeth Haydon's website...

Is no longer up on the web, makes me a bit worried seeing that Elizabeth Haydon has not updated her site in years that she might had forgotten about it and it eventually expired... Sad [:(]

What do you all think of this? Hmm [^o)]

Well, I checked it out...it definitely expired. Maybe she's been so busy with writing and other stuff. Makes sense. I'm not too worried about it...I've got the books and the Cauldron. What else do I need? Wink [;)]

True madhatter. I have a lot of the information from the site (such as the Dhracian hand and stuff) if anybody wants, I can post it in here. Just let me know if I should or could. Big Smile [:D]

    THE DHRACIAN HAND

In RHAPSODY, we see Achmed perform [or attempt to perform] the Thrall ritual, the rite by which members of the Dhracian race can hold a F'dor demon-spirit against its will, chaining it to its human host so that it cannot flee death. [As you probably can imagine, this will be seen again.] During this ritual the left hand is used to ensnare the vibrations given off by the F'dor. The ritual uses the real-life Guidonian Hand method as its basis for the song that catches and ensnares the demonic spirit. Now the question is--how do you hold on to it?

For this and other answers to questions posed in RHAPSODY: Child of Blood, look for PROPHECY: Child of Earth, the second book in the trilogy, scheduled for release in July 2000.

Hope this combination of real-world and Cymrian mythos gives you some insight into where the magic in the story comes from.

    Re: Elizabeth Haydon's website...

Hello ladies, I've noticed a few threads rambling off topic lately and some new ones being made needlessly when they could be added to other appropriate threads. Please can you keep to the topic you start? It makes for a much more coherent read, makes the board easier to search for people looking for a specific answer to their questions in the future and avoids accidental spoilers.

If the new line of thought deserves a new thread - go nuts and make one. The above is a good example of a post that could use it's own thread. Wink [;)]

    Thanks Smile [:)]

Now - back on topic; the website hasn't been updated for a while since the webmaster handed back the control to Elizabeth some time back. I suspect it's on her list of 'to-do's'.

Alright Duchess. If it is alright with everybody else, I could post some of the things on Elizabeth Haydon's site in a new, organized thread, but if not just say so. I just wanted to answer eternal lights question above. Big Smile [:D]

No problem, start a fresh thread. That way if you raise any questions which could be spoilers, they will be in the appropriate place. Smile [:)]

Hey lanen kaeler (nice name, btw, I loved the Lanen Kaelar trilogy by Elizabeth Kerner) we currently do not know when the next book is coming out, but we guarantee that we will post up news of the next book whenever we recieve anything from Haydon or otherwise. But besides that, why don't you head over to the Welcome Thread and introduce yourself so we can welcome you properly, as well as recieve the rules of the board from one of the mods. Big Smile [:D]
