    Robin Hobb

I am in the middle of the last book of Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy.  I've really enjoyed this series so far and am wondering if her other books are just as good.  I'm going on vacation in  a few days and I want something really good to read.  Thanks to any who respond!

Well, I rate Robin Hobb very highly - and have loved all of her books. The Liveship series that sort of follows on from the Assassin set is also very engrossing and would be a good holiday read. Smile [:)]

I bought Assassin's Apprentice, but I haven't started it yet. I have been reading the Kushiel books by Jacqueline Carey, the first of which I bought at the same time as the Assassin book. They were so good I am reading them again. But Assassin's Apprentice is next on my list.

My all time favorite series is The Tawny Man Trilogy that picks up a few years after the Farseers. The Live Ship Trilogy takes place in between the two, so it may be a good idea to read it first, but not a requirement. There is only a little bit of info that would be useful from it for the Tawny Man.

    Re: Robin Hobb

I bought the first book in The Tawny Man series and started reading it before I figured out there were two series' before that one about the same person. I've been meaning to read them ever since! From what I garnered from my short stint reading it was positive though; pulls you straight into the story and mesmerizes you.

I will read them all one day! You can count on it. =]

    Re: Robin Hobb

Just an update: I loved all of the nine books by Robin Hobb that I read (The Farseer, Liveship Traders, and Tawny Man trilogies).  The Liveship Traders trilogy did not engage me as much as the other books, I think partly because it is not in first person like they are.  And also because my favorite characters are Fitz, the Fool, and Nighteyes.  But I definitely have a new favorite author now.
