Then you can rejoice Mri Niun for guess what?  Yup.  They are going to make a CG Spyro the Dragon movie.  LOL.  Move over Final Fantasy Advent Children…  here comes Spyro.  LOL.

Oh, you were lucky then; that’s why you are comfortable with the very “unconventional” Wii-mote, because you skipped the whole era of the “ergonomically molded to fit comfortably between your two hands with more buttons than you have fingers to play them with” controllers.  LOL.  You did not have to “unlearn what you have learned.”  LOL.

I was playing Super Mario Sunshine with the Demo unit of the Nintendo Wii at Best Buy and I simply didn’t like it at all.  LOL.  It just felt so unnatural and uncomfortable to me that I simply could not get the hang of it no matter how many times I tried.  I was shaking the Wii-mote left and right like Charo with a pair of Maracas and still Mario refused to do his special spin attack for me.  LOL.  Plus, I had to cut my playtime short because the person who was in charge of the video game section was a girl and I didn’t want to risk looking like I had no clue what I was doing when she came around.  LOL.  Just give me the PS2 controller and stop trying to reinvent the wheel is what I say.

A long time ago there was this punching game at the arcade in which you would put on a glove and punch a padded target as hard as you could and then that target would fly backwards and post how hard the force of the punch was on a display screen (in the terms of a numerical value) for all to see.  LOL.

I remember I hated that game because an incredibly strong person could just destroy the target and get like a score of 110 or something.  And my friends and I decided we were going to find out who had the strongest punch one afternoon and all played that game together.  (If you ever saw the movie Rocky IV it is basically an arcade version of thing Ivan Drago punched.)

Anyway, most of my friends went first and I think they all pretty much scored in the low to mid nineties (one might have reached over a 100 if recall) and then came SIA’s turn.  LOL.

I took a deep breath, gathered every atom of my collective energy and focused it all into a tiny pinprick point at the tip of my knuckles on my right hand…  which no longer was a right hand…  but had now suddenly transformed into an iron fist of mindless destruction and fury.  LOL.  And in one mighty blow I unleashed everything that I was on that relatively small square piece of red padded target…  *smoke clears*   Yah, I think I got like an 80 or 81.  LOL.  But remember, this was years and years ago…  SIA must be stronger by now.  LOL.  He must be...  LOL.

I'm sure your stronger Sam I Am, I know I' am! Stick out tongue [:P]

If the movie is anything like the newer spyro games that have been released recently (Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Spryo: A New Beginning, ect...) than I might as well just chuck the DVD out the window, because those games are loads of hrekin compared to the older, original Spyro Trilogy (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro Ripto's Rage and Spyro Year of the Dragon) was the bomb!

At the moment I'm awaiting to receive the gameshark I ordered off of Amazon.com so I can try out this cheat on Gallop Racer 2001. The cheat is Infinity Jockey Points, which will allow me to no longer worry about losing the game whenever I skip a couple of weeks or buy too many horses. And yes, I know, I shouldn't be cheating. But after playing this game for so long, and never really getting any higher than a horse with 95 for Turf/Dirt Tracks (Tops I think is 150) I decided to get myself a gameshark and try it out.

    Re: video games

The gameshark was a big disapointment, I won't be buying anything by this company ever again. Most of the time I have to clean the disc many times before it will even work. Yes, the codes already on it worked, and my little brother enjoyed it immesnly, but the codes I input into it do not work, even the Gallop Racer 2001 codes I tried to put in didn't work at all. So that was a waste of money. Crying [:'(]

At the moment I'm awaiting the last Legend of Spyro game to come out for the Playstation Two, Dawn of the Dragon. I hope it will make up for the last two titles, which were awful if you ask me. Like I said, I'm a fan of the old spyro trilogy and have replayed it many times. And compare thouse games with this newer trilogy, the newer trilogy is just aweful.

Hey, any of you out there that are fan's of Anne (and now Todd) McCaffery's Dragonriders of Pern series, check this out. It must not be too new because it is also offered on Dreamcast, but I have never heard of it and I really want to get it. Has anyone seen/played this before?

LEGEND OF ZELDA all the way!!! These are the ones I have played (and beaten woo woo) A link to the past, Link's Awakening, The Minish Cap, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Phantom Hourglass. I am currently working on getting Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. I have played the very first Zelda but I deem this to be the hardest game in the world and therefore have not beaten it lol. Also the second Zelda being a side scroller is quite unusual. Hmm I think I will go play Zelda now Cool [H].

No wonder you wanted to dress up as Zelda for Halloween.  LOL.  And you’re right, the first NES Zelda was indeed the hardest, but mostly because there was pretty much no (in-game) hints or guide of what to do next.  And yup, the second NES Zelda was pure crap.  LOL.  That whole side scrolling thing was just too weird, but the final boss was epically awesome.

And IMO A Link To the Past on the SNES was the best Zelda game.  The 16-bit graphics and music was just so much of an upgrade that it was pure awesomeness.  I will never forget the first time I saw it rain in that game…  the weather effects were so cool it gave me goosebumps.  LOL.

And Zelda Ocarina of Time for the N64 was just too much fun from beginning to end.  The new combat system was pure genius, the fishing mini-game was fun as heck, and riding around on Epona is still one of the funniest things I have ever done in a video game.  LOL.  Unfortunately this is the last Zelda game I played because I sold away my Gamecube before Wind Waker and Twilight Princess came out.  (However, I’ve been planning to buy another one for dirt cheap so I can finally play both.)

But IMO the Zelda franchise cannot beat the Final Fantasy series.  Because as awesome as all the Zelda games were; they mainly dealt with just Link, Zelda, Ganon and the land of Hyrule.  Each Final Fantasy introduced me to wonderful new worlds and amazing new characters.

Whoa.  I can’t believe that game is so expensive.  You must be a big Anne Macaffery fan to even want such a thing.  LOL.  *just joking*

I know how you feel actually, because my favorite anime came out with a crappy PC game and even though I knew it was horrible, I still went through all the effort to find it and download it.  Plus, the entire game was in Japanese, so I had no idea what was going on (lol), but I was still glad to have it because I got to see my fav anime characters in a different context.

Ooo…  I made a copy of the PC version of Dragon Riders: The Chronicles of Pern a while back (thinking it was something else, lol), but I never actually played it.  But since you mentioned it I just loaded it up and am giving it a spin.

Hmmm…  A LOT of talking.  LOL.  Something about dragon egg hatching and permanently bonding with… blah, blah, blah.  LOL.  Okay… were ready to…  Nope, some more talking, and with in-game graphics this time.  I guess if you read the books you would find this part nostalgic and therefore interesting.  LOL.

Okay… finally…  oh; it’s a 3D adventure game.  Neat.  SIA has no instructions so he is going to have to wing it.  LOL.  Let’s see…  arrow keys are the only way to move…  holding “shift” causes you to run…  “I” key brings up inventory…  “enter” is use…  and “space bar” is to pick up stuff.  Wow, this game is really old school.  LOL.

Ooo…  a big Dragon (graphics look pretty good) named Zenth just told me to go get him some oil for his scales.  D’kor goes to get oil.  D’kor uses it on Dragon (voice acting is pretty good too, especially the Dragon).  Dragon is pleased (lol).   This screenshot from Gamespot is pretty much how it looks right now.  LOL.  Okay, Dragon is now telling me to go find a brush and to start brushing him...

SIA is bored and stops playing.  LOL.  I’m pretty sure only Anne McCaffery fans will like this game.  LOL.  Gamespot gave this bad boy a 4.9 (that’s out of 10, lol).  At least this game works on my laptop and my laptop isn’t even powerful; this must be a pretty old game indeed.

Define "really."  LOL.  It is actually only 600 MBs; I can probably get this game to you…  one way or another.  LOL.

    Re: video games

LOL! Yes, Valecynos is a big fan of Anne McCaffery, and especially the Dragonriders series. And yes, Valecynos really does want the game. And now Valecynos has obviously been more influenced by SIA than she originally realized, because she is referring to herself in the third person now. Wink [;)]

Actually, I recognized all the things you were talking about. In fact when you mentioned about bonding with the dragonling, I immediately thought to myself, "He needs to feed him; that's how they first start to bond." Anyway, I do really want the game. Smile [:)]

You should totally read the books, SIA. Elizabeth mentions that McCaffery was one of her favorites.

    Check your PM's please SIA.

Well the easy way is to just copy and paste what you want to quote and add a [ quote ] in front of everything you want quoted and a [ /quote ] after everything you want quoted (without the spaces of course).

And just in case this small part of a big post was what you were talking about then just quote this post and erase everything you don't want except the very first [ quote user="Sam I am." ] and the very last [ /quote ] from this entire post (without the spaces of course, lol).
