2.4 is live now.  Time to go do some fishing dailies to get those cool items. Also time to go fishing on Quel'Danas to get those Luminous Bluetail fish for raiding.

Is your druid on Perenolde as well?  If you need a tank I made a warrior named Elspeth on that server.  =)

Kara clears every week. Gruul is dead. Magtheridon joins gruul. We are progressing nicely.

Hoping to get my epic flyer soon, I guess I should do more dailies.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Did Magister's Terrace tonight for the first time. Well, we attempted to anyway.  We made it past the third boss finally. What a pain that fight is. It's like Moroes with no shackles. Didn't make it to Kael yet.  We ran out of time tonight, people had to get up early in the morning, otherwise we would have.  We'll get there though.  The temptation of those epic gem rewards is tugging at me!!  It has a cool cut scene in the middle of it that flies you around the island to see what's really going on and it ends at the Sunwell and Kil'Jaeden.

    Stats

    Kara tomorrow and Monday nights.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

We need to do that again - that one time put us off and I can't convince Mike to tank again after his 19g repair bill last time. Big Smile [:D] We've been a bit caught up with reforming our original guild too. The people I started playing with in back in July '06 (who became more like friends than guildies,) have come back to WoW and we managed to convince them to start back on Horde rather than Alli. Trouble is that they are on their lowby toons so guild raiding is a long way off. Unwise Elders have invited us back, so I might put Mora back in there... decisions decisions...

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

I have become so OP its not even funny....I just got a new Idol from the badge vendor in shattrath that increases spelll damage by 140 every now and then when I cast moonfire. And this procs just about every other moonfire. On top of that, I pull aggro even with Blessing of Salvation on.

Last night in SSC I crit for 4.2k followed up by 3.9k from just wrath. The guy we were fighting had a debuff that makes him susceptable to nature damage so of course I unloaded the dps on him which leaded to me dieing. It also doesnt help that the healers dont like me, so usually when I OT I dont get heals at all.

I really need to lower my crit rate.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

I'm finding that I have the same problem.  On Curator last night no matter what I did I was #1 on the threat list. This is bad because as Hateful bolt soaker I'm supposed to be #2. So someone was getting hit with hateful bolts besides me.  I guess I just have to sit there and spam mind flay, but that's really boring.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Lol - welcome to the world of Mages; we've had to watch that for ages and it's one of the reasons I went arcane; threat reduction and sustained dps rather than big ol fire balls. About half way through long boss fights like Prince in Kara I would use invisibility too, which, like feign with a hunter, reduces your threat to zero. There was a pocketwatch trinket from one of the Hellfire quests that would reduce threat, it might be worth getting something like that.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

It's really frustrating. When I was undergeared I could wail away at Curator and have problems keeping enough threat.  Now that I have better DPS gear all I have to do is breath and I have threat. Grrrrr.  I just have to tone it down a little.  I get carried away with the dps sometimes LOL.

    Gypsy Downs Prince

My head token dropped, but I lost the roll for it. Oh well. Maybe next time. 20 badges in two days, not bad.  Next stop Nightbane.

Same, but you have to tone it down, esp if your bf is the tank and has to keep pulling aggro off you. Embarrassed [:$] In an average party my extra damage for arcane and fire is close to +1200 and 25% crit chance... and that's before I use trinkets etc. But... the fact that I spend half my time sheeping does tone down the damage a bit. Wink [;)]

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

My spell damge is around +912 exactly. In a raid its more near 1000 something. and My trinket always procs so its near 1140. I have to play around with the talent calculator on the WoW website so I can figure out a good talent build with subtlety for that extra 20% reduced threat.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

    Grats!

My guild master says he is going to stop guild kara raids. We were arguing that kara gives the best badges and that without we wouldnt get much.

He argued that if we continue to do gruuls/mag/za that badge gear wouldnt matter.

I couldve argued against it because the new badge vendor with his T6 equivilent gear is out now. But he says we will get enough badges from other raids.

I dont care what he says im still finding time to do guild kara raids.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

We didn't have a chance to try Nightbane this week because Prince was bring a Pain!  We kept getting really bad infernal locations and that took a big chunk of the night.  I really want the dagger that Prince drops though.  Then I'll only have two blues left in my inventory that I can get replacements for in Gruuls if we ever go in there.  I could be doing it now but our group goes in on Thursday nights and I'm in school then.

I have that one for a few months now - it's a low drop rate though, good luck. Smile [:)] I'm rather more interested in Scryer's Blade of Focus now. Big Smile [:D]

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Yeah the dagger that Prince drops is something I want too.  I'd have more of a chance getting that than getting enough badges to get Scryer's blade anytime soon.  I feel like I'm slow; I'm still trying to get all my gear to be tier 4.  =(

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

To be honest I didn't even know about that dagger before it dropped and I nearly didn't roll on it because it was only slightly better than my pvp Gladiator's Spellblade . If I were you guys I would pvp a bit and collect honor and badges for the Merciless Gladiators Spellblade which will be available to buy from the bg vendors in a couple of weeks. I'm debating it myself.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

PvP? I'd rather attack a Fel Reaver with a plastic spork. Shadow Priests have that big target painted on them in PvP lol.  I could easily have enough badges for the Scryer's Blade of Focus in a month or so.  I noticed that it didn't say Scryers only anywhere on that, so I'm guessing that Aldor can get it also, now that we're almost friends and all. Last week my raid leader got the recipe for the Soulfrost enchant. So I'd put that on the dagger too. woot!

I'm already spell hit capped so +spell hit is wasted on me. The damage and stats on the Scryer's blade is much better for me anyway. The Scryer's blade is also rated slightly better for shadow preists than the PvP Blade. (maxdps.com)

Hmmm what to get? Nathrezim Mindblade, Scryer's Blade of Focus, or Tormented Demonsoul Robes. (Current stuff: Robe of the Crimson Order, Starlight Dagger) The Robes of the Lore'nial is actually better for me, but it's really ugly brown.

So, my plan of enchanting my blue items seems to be working. The Shadow-Cloak of Dalaran and the Handwraps of Flowing Thought have both dropped for me recently.
