    Re: Horde Brags

It was a good run, want to go back but I am having some internet issues, so am having a week off wow Crying [:'(] until it gets fixed. Poopy!

I had the piccolo on my other toon; used to take great delight in using it at the start of AV's. Big Smile [:D]

    Re: Horde Brags

Well, I have managed to play WoW with dial-up. It's a bit laggy, but doable; I am halfway through level 58 and questing in Outland. Ah, it's good to be back. Wink [;)]

    Re: Horde Brags

Decided to try a battlground on dial-up; not having a decent connection will not put me off my quest for the skeletal warhorse. Anyhow, it was all ok in AV until I hit the bridge and all of the other players there just bumped my connection. Twice. I logged back on 5 mins later to find myself in the hall of heroes with a medal and 84 honour points. Surprise [:O] I can't complain. I think it is doable if I stay away from the action and defend towers. It's the medals afterall that I need, not the honour really.

    Re: Horde Brags

I lag all the time, Cuz the game needs 512 RAM and I only have 510 RAM.....

Im hoping to get a 500 mb of RAM so that my game will run smoothly.

AV is fun but I dont do to many BG's as of late. To much questing in the outland to.

I lag in AV when I stumble upon a huge group of 20+ hordies

    Re: Horde Brags

Well, it does say it can be played on dial-up, but it's far from easy. I am ok on my own but when other guildies play with me it's hilarious. 'Why did you go into those 3 voidwalkers? You should have followed me!' 'I thought I was!' Surprise [:O]

It really sucks that after all these bg's that I wont be able to get my war mount like this. I'll try again, but WSG yesterday was a challenge. I think I'll just get to 60 and get the silly epic chicken. Crying [:'(]

The Outland quests are cool; it's funny doing them from the Horde perspective ... oh and you can always work towards getting the Talbuk mount from Nagrand for cheap with rep.

    Re: Horde Brags

    Ding 60!!! Party!!! [<:o)]

Got new skills (about 35g's worth), riding to 150 and the epic pink chicken and still had about 150g left. Phew!

Me on the epic chicken (click on it for the bigger pic.)

I really want that warhorse though, oh well, just have to wait until my connection is better.

    Grats D,

I think I'm going to go for the Ray. Anyone know how you get rep with the Sha'tari Skyguard (Probably in Skettis). I see there's a ray and a recruiter next to the flightmaster in Shattrath. But no gold ! above his head.

Maybe you have to be 70 to get it?

That makes sense since you need a flying mount to get to Skettis.

    Re: Horde Brags

Possibly, Azz one of my guildies who's 70 was looking into it. The rays are cool, I loved that quest in Nagrand where you had to ride one. Big Smile [:D] I wonder if it's also for Horde.

Keep in mind though that as always the mount is the cheap part, riding skills to 225 and then 300 to use the mount (it's 280% flying speed?) will be the hard part to pay for. Sad [:(]

It's nice having an epic mount again even if it is a silly pink chicken. Big Smile [:D]

    Re: Horde Brags

Do you mean riding the wyverns over Halaa? Thats a lot of fun.

Flying Mount is 100g for mount and 500g for training I believe.

And then Epic Flying is 300g for mount and 700g for training. I THINK this is correct, not 100% sure, but I dont have to worry about them since I can get flight form and now EPIC FLIGHT FORM!!!!!

    Re: Horde Brags

Expert Riding Skill: 800G For the basic Flying Mounts.

    100G for the Mount.

    900G Total.

Artisan Riding Skill: 5000G For the Epic Flying Mounts.

    200G for the mount.

    5200G Total.

That's without any reputation based discounts.

    Re: Horde Brags

Oh that's right - it was Wyverns. They all look the same to me. Big Smile [:D]

With the mounts... I think I paid 900g in total for my riding skills and mount with the rep discount. What really sucked was that roughly 2 days later our guild fell apart and I went back to Horde. I still log onto my Ali Hunter every now and then just to flap around for a bit. Embarrassed [:$]

We did Hellfire Ramparts tonight, was quite painless actually and good fun. My dial-up actually withstood the instance better than I thought it would. I have some great gear for level 61, should level soon although probably not until the weekend as tomorrow is a busy day.

that really sucks that your alli guild fell apart. Nothing to do on your 70 now? you should realm transfer to our server. lol

    Re: Horde Brags

It was a shame, but it was good too; it gave us a chance to go Horde and made the game fresh for a few of us. And although I do love playing my hunter; you can't beat being a mage for uber dps. Plus it's nice having a high level Alli on the same server; if an Alliance player taunts my Horde toon - I log onto Alli and give them a piece of my mind from a level 70, which usually improves the situation... Angel [A] Plus I can access both AH's which is always nifty. Big Smile [:D]

    Re: Horde Brags

lol, when we had to kill durn the hungerer we chose a pally over a mage cuz we didnt want the mage over aggro'ing our tank. The pally ended up as our tank and we got him.
  •  05-25-2007, 8:57 AM 8070 in reply to 8069

    Re: Horde Brags

A good pally can hold the aggro off a mage; ours does even with my ridiculous dps. And a warrior should be able to as well, that's how it's always worked in our runs together. Let the warrior go in, get some sunders in (5 or so on a boss) and then let the rest start the dps'ing. No need to lose out on a mage and it gets the job done a lot quicker. Wink [;)]

    Re: Horde Brags

The pally we had was a holy spec, and we needed another pally (he lost aggro a couple times) because we had nothing that could keep aggro from a mage

    Re: Horde Brags

Well, my boyfriend went back to his druid recently and the bear can certainly hold the aggro away from me. It's easy to play with mages if everyone is used to that group formation. I usually do the most dps and take the least damage if I am careful with my spells, it fails sometimes - but with a quick mana shield and a frost nova I can escape most aggro until one of the tanks can take it back. To be honest it doesn't often happen now - if anything I am more likely to pull mobs by getting too close when I am trying to sheep them. Big Smile [:D]

Anyway, I made it to 64, despite not having played much lately. We're been doing Coilfang a bit lately and we also hit the Nessingwary quests in Nagrand as a group of 4 and completed them in one go tonight. It was a fun escapade. My gold is now way past 700g and with some AH sales tomorrow I should be at about 800g, not much more and I will already have my flying skill money. But I spent about 50g just getting my new enchanting rods today, sheesh enchanting is expensive. Crying [:'(] Very good for dealing with disposable bop blue items in instances though.

The guild is doing well; it's up to 42 accounts now and on an average night we can have about 14 players online which makes for a buzzy atmosphere. It's a real mix too; people from England, Scotland, Ireland, a few Swedes, a Belgian, some Dutchies, some Eastern Europeans and a couple of dad and son combos. It's going all right, but I think we need to get back to having some regular instance runs soon.
