Yep, that's it! Thanks Krin! Disturbia. And that kid is in it! It did look like Rear Window to me as well, Krin.

Sam I am. wrote:I think George Lucas has achieved “hopeless” status in my mind. First he tried to insert prequel suckage into the original trilogy by putting the Christian Haydon Anakin in the final scene of the Return of the Jedi DVD. Hmmm… but he did get rid of the Ewoks doing the “hayyp dance” at the end though. Perhaps he is not beyond hope after all.
Did you also notice that he edited out the original Boba Fett's voice (which is actually what I always imagined Achmed's voice sounding like) and he switched it out with the dumb Aussie voice of Jango Fett? Another obvious prequel "suckage", as you dubbed it.
But don't let me get started about Star Wars; I could talk about it forever.

I like Shia, I’m probably the only one here who has seen (and liked) every episode of Disney’s Even Stevens
Ha ha, that's great! I as well loved Even Stevens! Great show! I watched a lot of Disney.
I am really looking forward to Pirates, Harry Potter, and Spider-Man. My little cousin asked that I take her to go see Nancy Drew when it comes out. I am not looking forward to this as much, I love the origional Nancy, not the modernized version. Oh well.

Ah yes… I did notice that. But I am quite torn on that subject, because as much as I WORSHIP Boba Fett; I find myself liking Jango Fett a little better (mostly because his armor is nice and shiny---and blue).
I would so love to see a sequel to Return of the Jedi, but ONLY if the movie is written and directed by someone other than George Lucas. Personally, I would like Ridley Scott to direct the film, if I had to pick a favorite director it would probably be him.

The family and myself just got back from it a while ago, and everyone in the car (except for the 5 year old, who fell asleep) liked it alot. If you like multi-dimensional characters, this will be one for you, too!

Geek alert! I've read many of the books written after the movies. One book that I would love to see as a movie (it had the feel of the movies, too) is The Courtship of Princess Leia. It's an excellent book, a very good sequel, and was written to feel exactly like you were just watching another of the movies. Another of the movies in the caliber of Episodes IV-VI, that is.
Avatar by me, for me.

LOL. My Sis-in-law keeps trying to get me to read that book. It’s her favorite Star Wars book too, and she keeps telling me that there is a hilarious Han Solo song (or something like that) in that particular book and that if I were a true Star Wars fan, then I would read it.
I did read Timothy’s Zahn’s Thrawn Trilogy though. Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command were all pretty good.
For me Star Wars books are a real easy read because all the cast and equipment have already been imagined, so all you have to do is imagine the rest of the stuff.
Oh, and in my list of upcoming sequels I forgot to mention Die Hard 4, which I believe is called Live Free and Die Hard. I did love Die Hard 2 : Die Harder, but isn't John Mclain getting a little too old for action films?

Just watched the new National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets trailer and the movie looks pretty darn cool. Helen of Troy is back, and Nicholas Cage has to try to break into the Oval Office this time. *insert your own political joke here* LOL.
But Spider-man 3 got bad reviews. Shrek 3 got bad reviews. Pirates of the Carribean 3 got bad reviews. I am definitely sensing a pattern here. I also have a bad feeling that Die Hard 4, Ocean’s Thirteen and the new Resident Evil movie are all gonna suck lemons big time.
I think that the only sequel that will get positive reviews is the new Harry Potter. I think The Order of The Phoenix is gonna rock.

Last night, Hubby and myself took the two older kids to see Michael Moore's latest, Sicko (be warned, that link is from Wikipedia which gives a lot of the story "away").
Healthcare is one of my soapboxes, and though Michael Moore might not be everyone's cup of tea, I thought it was very well done. In listening to the other theater patrons, it sounded like we all were in agreement. This is one that we will add to our DVD collection when it is released.

Who else is seriously drooling waiting for the new Harry Potter movie?
... Or am I the only one?
Apparently this is the best movie of the lot. The special effects are supposed to amazing, as well as the acting. Of course the acting is going to be better though; the main trio are almost eighteen in real life now. According to Daniel Radcliffe himself (Hoorah for good looking actors!) this movie is the only one he could watch, and he wants to see it again! That must be a good sign of what's to come.
Not many days to go now!

Actually, at one of the movies we went to, they showed the extra long preview for OoP, and hub mentioned to me that it looked really good. This is from a guy who read 1 and 2 but couldn't make it through 3 because he said it was too predictable. He's a philosophy and non-fiction man, himself.
So, yes, I am looking forward to this one!

I gotta say the movie I am most excited for is The Golden Compass movie coming out in December. It's the first book of a trilogy written by Philip Pullman. The books themselves are not a difficult read, they're meant for young adults but they are really good. I'm actually really excited about the movie because I never thought they would actually do one and if they did it wouldn't be till I was fifty! But they are and they have some really big names playing the roles. Like Nicole Kidman and the guy who played the new Bond, can't remember is name but he is good. (and Yummy!)
Plus only a few more days till the new Harry Potter!!

My girls are actually more excited about The Golden Compass than HP, since they both loved the entire His Dark Materials trilogy. My hubby got them the books after he heard Philip Pullman on the radio talking about them.

I really have to pick them up sometime.
I'm really excited about the new Indiana Jones movie! I can't wait to see it.
