Yeah, same for me - I don't really play alliance, just the odd bit of pvp mostly.

*Cries*  I still can't get WoW to work, even after clearing all of hubby's files from my computer onto a flash drive.  Something is happening because nothing is showing up on my scans, and  I can't even use the Goback feature - it fails to system restore at all.   My account is still "good", but I disconnect every time after it goes through the authenticating process.  Any hints?  WoW tech support seems to think that it is the firewall ports, but it worked fine before April 10th.

Make sure that the realm is up.  Since 2.4 came out the servers have been up and down a lot.  If the server is up it does sound like a firewall issue.  A quick check would be to disable your firewall for a few minutes and start WOW.  If it works you know that one of the ports is closed on the firewall that should be open for WOW to work.  Make sure you turn the firewall back on when you're finished.

Is Windows running alright? Or do you get errors once in a while from different programs.  It might be time to re-install the OS or re-format the hard drive.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Okay, that's weird. Mine was doing that too! Titak was just asking me when I was going to play again, and I was explaining it to him. In fact, when I was deleting my toons from my account, I had to do it on the girls computer because mine wouldn't let me log in.

I haven't had any problems with errors. When I have time, I'll have to check the firewall out too. Let me know if that works for you, Krin. I'll give it a shot even if it doesn't, because it still might be the problem on mine.

Finally replaced those old blue shoulders with [Mantle of the Mind Flayer] and put the Aldor shoulder enchant on them. w00t!

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Gratz; I've had those for an age ... but there are blues that are actually better than them if you look at max dps, so I've been looking for an upgrade. I have the pattern now for the Mantle of Nimble Thought but so far no sign of the hearts of darkness needed on AH for at least the last 3 weeks. Sad [:(]

We are downing void reaver and High astromancer solarian every week now! Still attempting A'lar and we just made our tank a resist set for Hydros the Unstable so I hope we can get him down.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

The Heart of Darkness drops in Black Temple and Mt. Hyjal so I'm not surprised that they are pretty rare.

Nice that you're getting to do that stuff tak.  I'm still plodding away at Karazhan.  We have everything on farm in there except Prince and Nightbane. We do kill them, just not as often as we'd like.  Especially since they buffed Prince last patch.  I'm kind of getting sick of it and am trying to get the group in to Zul'Aman but not many want to do that.

12 more badges and I replace my Robe of the Crimson Order with Tormented Demonsoul Robes. w00t! Big Upgrade there! I just need to find +30 spell hit from somewhere, probably the enchant on my gloves will keep me above my spell hit cap.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Yeah, I did my research into the hearts when I got the pattern; we actually did have a lot of guilds running HYJ and BT and the drop rate of the hearts isn't too bad, esp as it's off trash ... but I think the guilds are keeping them in guild. Also now a lot of the major raiding guilds have gone onto the Sunwell Plateau.

Maybe I'll see what the heroic badges offer for for shoulders and collect my pvp points towards my next blade upgrade...

Nice upgrade; have you thought of the Scryer's Bloodgem  for the spell hit? I am guessing you are Aldor; but Scryer is usually better for dps casters. Might be worth a look.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Most of my guildies have gotten sick of kara lol. I still like to do it when I can just for badges but I can never seem to get a group.

Im still working on my epic flyer too. Whenever I get over 1k gold it just disappears to the AH. At least with 375 herb/alch Im constantly getting money and spending it lol.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

Yes, you're right, Stephenn is Aldor. Roswynn is Scryer though so when she gets to that point I'll get the bloodgem for her.

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

A good night for Stephenn abd the Gypsies. Tonight we downed every boss in Kara except Netherspite and Nightbane. woot.  Stephenn FINALLY got a T4 token (The head one) from Prince.  He also finally got together enough badges to buy [Tormented Demonsoul Robes]. Now to save for the dagger.

    Grats G!

I personally like and hate the netherspite fight. I love it because I can go all out on him and not pull threat, and the portals are pretty cool. But I hate it because I usually have to go in the blue portal lol

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

I feel exactly the same way.

After replacing a few gear items I had to get new enchants. I'm not quite done, but I did get +15 spell hit (of the 30 that I lost), so I'm doing a little better there.  I got the +6 MP/5 on my new robes.  I'm looking for someone to do Subtlety on my cloak now.

Everything is purple now, except my dagger. I'm waiting for the mindblade to drop off Prince, or 150 badges to get the cool dagger from the badge vendor on Quel'danas. And whenever I get it I have mats saved up for the Soulfrost enchant.

Stephenn's be.imba page has the new gear on it, but not the enchants yet.  201.39 Score! I wonder what it will be when the enchants show up?

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

The enchants don't give a huge amount more rating on be imba, I have 15 points total for mine from it and that's with ring enchants, exalted Scryer shoulder inscription and the revered head glyph from the Shatar. Ant, another mage / enchanter friend of mine who has Sunfire and also ring enchants etc, has 17. His overall rating is 235, so very little overall comes from enchants. It's always nice to improve your gear though. Smile [:)]

Re: Alliance Brags: The Burning Gasconade

    Photobucket

Killed everything except Huntsman, Maiden, and Netherspite tonight. w00t!  First time for Nightbane.  I thought they had killed him while I was away during finals, but they said that they hadn't. That's me in my new impressive robes in the center. 17 badges in one 2.5 hour run.  Not bad. We probably could have done Attumen and Maiden also, but we started 30 minutes late. Grrrrrr.

I need to work on my Sha'tar rep. I'm only friendly with them and I need that head enchant.

Nice badge farm. Smile [:)] Ironically Nightbane was the first boss I downed in Kara, lots of aoe and serious mana useage.

Grats! Nightbane can be a tough fight. But if you do it right its cake.

Meanwhile we just cleared ZA. I wasnt there which stinks but I log on the website and there is the picture with "TFI downs Zul'Jin"

and I went to an Irish festival lol. It was pretty awsome.
