What exactly is "The Merrow," about anyway? I've been meaning to hunt the book down sometime and read it, but does anyone want to fill me in? Just give me a quick summary of it to reassure me to read it. Don't give too much away, now!

It is a short story contained within a collection edited by Andrew Greeley, called Emerald Magic.  The story is about a merrow, but to say much more would give a lot away.  Here is the book page from Fr. Greeley's website, in which the story is called Land of Heart's Desire.  Hope this helps.

My initial response is no, but then I thought of how a Merrow kind of intertwines with Ven and Ven kind of intertwines with SoA...so kinda...It can be found in Emerald Magic: Great Tales of Irish Fantasy a compliation of authors like EH, Bradbury, & more.
