Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
You're welcome! However, SIA was picking on me, and not on you, so I guess we can let it slide.
Ohh! Perhaps under Terreanfor, you could include that it is the earth basilica, and that is located in Sorbold at Night Mountain, the only Non-Orlandan basilica. You could also add that it made from Living Stone. :)

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
Alright, I edited Terreanfor and The Friendmaker and added in Lopper. At the moment I'm re-reading Rhapsody, Child of Blood as well as the rest of the series, so I should be able to catch a few things I may have missed. ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
And sure, I guess I can let SIA slide, just this once. ![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)

Such as:
The Queen always starts on color.
Michael Biehn was actually the first one in Terminator to say, “Come with me if you want to live.”
Shamus is spelt Seamus.
Bode and bold are in fact two different words.
Jet skiing is apparently a lot of fun. LOL. madhatter wrote:This is an impressive idea; I think so immense that'll need to be a collaboration of the collective Cauldron mind. You mean like the Borg? LOL. Mri Niun wrote:Why does it feel like you always pop up and turn a bad point here or there? Hehe, your just jealous because Sam I am didn't think of this himself! ![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
That’s because I have the weary wisdom of over 900 posts and 40+ SoA threads. LOL. *smokes pipe like Gandalf* You see little Mri Niun; like you during your young sphere collecting days, I too was once filled with the bright eyed optimism that someday my Cauldron threads would change the world. LOL. But one by one I watched all my threads die a slow and painful death. All alone… inactive and frozen… lost and forgotten… fading away… forever. LOL. That is the fate of all threads… to spend a few wonderful weeks basking in the glorious light of frenzied activity and chaotic argumentative glee, before having to reluctantly embrace its slow and lengthy descent into eternal oblivion. LOL. Sure you could try to resurrect your thread with a couple of half-hearted replies and hollow apathetic rebukes, but that would not bring it back to life; that would only curse your once beloved thread into a lifeless zombie-like existence. LOL. So will your ambitiously noble thread be the first to defy all the ill-fated woes of the gods of misfortune? Will it be the sole SoA thread to survive the cruel unforgiving clutches of the two month inactive filter? In the heart of darkness will this thread continue to shine like a comforting beacon of all known SoA knowledge? Is that its destiny? To stand upon the highest mountaintop and shout its defiance to the heavens? Can this thread of yours touch the sky by merely reaching out its hands and embracing the wind? Was this thread meant to fly? To glide so high on joyfully inspired wings? If only a Cauldron member like you were brave enough to try? I wonder… I wonder… *phew* When are you guys going to learn never to ask SIA an open-ended question like that? LOL. Sorry, this is what happens when you listen to inspirational music while making a post. LOL. Mri Niun wrote:But I sure hope this doesn't collapse under so much weight, that would be a waste of Mri Niun's fearless attempted postal greatness for the greater good of The Cauldron! But than again, I'm sure SOMEBODY needs this little guide I made... Believe it or not; I actually used your guide to find out how to spell Dhracian correctly for two new SoA posts I’m working on. LOL. So this thread wasn’t made in vain after all. LOL. This is one really cool thread though.

That's basically what my husband said, when I mentioned that name as a possible choice for a girl when I was pregnant with my son. A little inside info: I just knew he was a boy (mother's intuition), so I came up with lots of names that I wanted to try on for size and see what kind of reaction they would get.![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/emotion-5.gif)

Ah! I knew it was some kind of medicine; kept trying to think of it...I got hung up on the more obvious musical reason...allegro, allegra, same difference.

Ha! I had forgotten about half that stuff. ![Embarrassed [:$]](/emoticons/emotion-10.gif) It must be my compulsive need to spread my knowledge to the world.

Haha! Madhatter once again, thank you for sticking up for little Mri Niun, and thank you Sam I am for using my guide and admitting that it is indeed useful! My efforts are truly not in vain after all! For a second there, while reading your creative post Sam I am, I was laughing so hard I came to tears. Funny, right? This Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge will just be one of those threads that keeps popping up in the newer Cauldron's to come as a "handy-dandy," reference guide to be used for ALL! Cauldron members to come! So it shall not die!
It will just collect dust like any other dictionary till somebody reaches over and picks it up. ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
Allegra would also be a feminine form of allegro - an Italian term used in music meaning: fast or lively.

madhatter wrote:What? Are we going onto Star Trek quotes? ![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif) I have plenty of those! Aren't we the biggest geeks of all time? Hmmm… strange how madhatter tried to include the rest of us cool people in her epic geekdom. LOL. *just joking* madhatter wrote:We go around assimilating the world to the SoA Collective..."We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile." You will read SoA and join the Cauldron and use Mri Niun's Dictionary of All Symphony of the Ages knowledge! Resistance is futile! LOL. I think if the Borg tried to include SIA’s “distinctiveness” into their Collective there would be a violent outright rejection. LOL.
And then I would be all like, “No, no, I want to join you guys. You guys are the coolest thing in Star Trek. I mean you guys have cool red laser thingys shooting out of your eyes and you guys fly around in giant metallic ice cubes. Let me join… Please… Please…"
And then they would be all like, “In this case resistance is… 100% absolutely necessary.” LOL. “For the love of god SIA, will you just please go away. In fact we promise we will leave the entire human race alone if you just go as far away from us as humanly possible.” LOL.
And that is how SIA saved humanity. Yup. LOL.

Oh, so that's why we aren't assimilated yet? A grateful nation/planet thanks you, Kirk...I mean, SIA.

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
Added in Lirinpan, Nagall the Stranger, Grievous Blow, Tref-Y-Guartheg, The Manteids, Realmalir, Melita, Kirsdarkenvar, the star Oelendra, The Ancient Seren, eight hundred and seventy six ships, Monodiere, Engilder, Robin, King Rendlar, King Evander, Madame Parri's Pleasure Palace, edited the Manteids and the House of Rememberance, Brenda and Suzie, and four hundred. Along with adding some of the children's names that were kidnapped by the Rakshas.
I guess re-reading the books was a good ideal. I missed quiet a bit, and I'm not done re-reading Rhapsody yet. ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
Alright, I tried to count up how many words or definitions are in the Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge, and I came out with:
518 words thus far.
21 still need a definition or description added and these words are:
- Cadin Abernathy.
- Elara.
- Fergus.
- First Generation Cymrians.
- Fountain Rock.
- Garden of Tomingarollo.
- Grand Balcony.
- The Great Sea.
- Greenhall.
- Greevus.
- Griswold.
- Grivven.
- Grinnen Tower.
- Ihrman Karsrick.
- Innenstrand.
- Jakar.
- Jecen.
- Madarian.
- Mausa.
- Men of the Forge.
- Miresylles.
Some of the definitions are quite obvious to describe, I just never went back and put in the description. Others are names that are very hard to find in the books and sometimes only appear once. That is why I'm re-reading the entire Symphony of Ages so I can catch anything that I may had missed while "skimming over," for words. Like what madhatter said earlier in this thread: "This is an impressive idea; I think so immense that'll need to be a collaboration of the collective Cauldron mind." It would be nice if some of you looked up some of these definitions while I try to do the same and add more in. So I guess little Mri Niun could use some nice help from the other older Cauldron Members. ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
Lately I added in a lot of the names of the Bolg Clans in Rhapsody, Child of Blood. Along with some of the Firbolg Chieftains names, ect...

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
I added in a description of First Generation Cymrians, August Relics, edited Tar'afel River, added in Gwenen, Twin daggers, Rysin, and Library and the Prophesory. ![Geeked [8-|]](/emoticons/emotion-15.gif)
Does anyone know what or whom the Gwenen are? I know they are some kind of race of people, but of what? ![Huh? [:^)]](/emoticons/emotion-18.gif)

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
Honestly, I don't even remember hearing about them. ![Embarrassed [:$]](/emoticons/emotion-10.gif) In fact, there are several things listed that I either only remember vaguely, or not at all. So basically, I won't be much help until I re-read the books. What you need is someone else doing a re-read of them too.

No, I don't know who the Gwenen are. I asked that question in Elizabeth's corner, but I haven't got answer yet. There is never a description of who they are.

I've actually always wondered that...it's really been bothering me. Maybe they'll somehow become a deus ex machina of a future book, and any information would be a spoiler ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif) .

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
Maybe the Gwenen will pop up in the Ven Polypheme books? Well, I'll skim over thouse as well to see if I missed them in ether The Floating Island or the Thief Queen's Daughter, but I doubt that race would be in any one of them... ![Huh? [:^)]](/emoticons/emotion-18.gif)
Prophecy, United States paperback edition, page 119:
"Her hoard was the Cymrian people," said Elysynos. "They were magic; they had crossed the Earth and made time to stop for themselves by doing so. In them all the elements found a manifestation, even if they did not know how to use it. They were some of races that had never been seen in these parts, Gwadd and Liringlas and Gwenen and Nain, Ancient Seren and Dhracians and Mythlin, a human garden full of many different and beautiful kinds of flowers."

Re: The Dictionary of All Symphony of Ages Knowledge!
My guess is since EH tends to keep close to the traditional meanings in how she names her races and characters in the Series, the Gwenen might bear a similar resemblance to the origin of the name Gwen: " white, fair, blessed". Perhaps they were a race which evolved somewhere between the Seren and the Liringlas?
