Well, maybe not a Holy pally! lol
Protection and Retribution pallies are really tough in PvP because they get judgements and seals (Sheild Specialization is a talent ability which almost makes the sheild a weapon) that can be devastating one on one, delivering out all sorts of damage with considerably lesser mana stores and not usually healing others. I was in an upper level instance (on Krinsel) with a Retrib pally who had less than 2000 mana and expected me to keep him healed, while I was delivering and taking damage myself! lol Guess that is why Holy isn't such a popular talent tree amongst paladins who because they can wear plate, and heal themselves, makes a good class for independently minded players.
Hunters are the bane of my existence as a pally in PvP. I have very little ranged attack, and which can't be spammed with the cooldowns (I wish pallies could have a bow), so I normally have to go straight for the hunter while getting beaten down by the pet, and taking damage from any of the others that have ranged abilities.
Why do I like playing a holy pally? I don't know, it just seems to fit my personality...it really mirrors what is expected of a "mom", which I have plenty of RL practice with! lol
Though, I should really roll a mage one of these days and see how far I can take her.
ETA: Reading up on it, it looks like even Holies will have to relearn and respec how to play their class. We still can't cast heals while moving (except purify), and/or freeze spell casting by other classes, (except the one Stun which has a 1 minute cooldown (in my case)).
