    Any News

This is one of the newest posts in about 2 months.

Has anybody heard anything at all?

Newest by you? Huh? [:^)] There has been lots of new posts in the last week. *Is confused* Confused [*-)]

No, no one has heard anything about the new SoA book. The new Ven book was just released.

Oh now I'm confused. Is there another section that I've missed entirely? I know the filters hide alot of threads, but I checked before I posted.

    Re: Any News

This is the newiest post concerning the next book that you are asking about. There was another post posted a while back asking the same question you did. To look at older post (or all the post), simply go down to Forum Options, and than choose Show All. But no, there isn't any current news on the new SOA book, sorry. I'am keeping an eye out on amazon.com for any new on the title or release date though...

    Re: Any News

Ok yes, thats what I thought.

Should I just bump old posts instead of posting new ones. I find this filter very, very frustrating. Is there any way I can turn it off so that I can see everything?

    Thanks

Yes, bumping old post would be the thing to do. And you have to do the Forum Options I mentioned above with every post to get all the threads unfiltered. Its nice to join in old topics to share your own opinion, but don't do it too much because we don't like "necroing," here. Big Smile [:D]

Naw, there's nothing wrong with necro-ing. But there is such a thing of too much necro-ing...Wink [;)]

    Re: Any News

Is this the best place to get up to date news on EH's books?  Does the next War of the Worlds book  have a title yet? There doesn't seem to be news anywhere on the web about anything besides this forum...and its freaking hard to find this forum unless you directly search for "cauldron, elizabeth haydon" cuz it definitely does not show up on google when I just type in her name. Hopefully she's so busy finishing her grown-up books that she doesn't have time to drop a hint. But hey, a little new brief wouldn't hurt!

    Re: Any News

I can't say if it's the best place (but it's the only one I know of) and to be honest, we haven't seen or heard much from Elizabeth in many months. We hope she'll come by at some point. Smile [:)]

    Re: Any News

This seems quite depressing to me. I've been a long fan of Elizabeth Haydon but she really seems to be in a stint. I haven't really looked into it. I was just thinking that its probably time for me to pick up a new book again and realized that I haven't read anything by her since "The Assassin King". So I go to check her website thinking it will give me an update and I'll be able to play that "in love and in war" clip that I love so much. Much to my displeasure not only is it down but there's nothing telling you any information about why or what happened to it or where you can redirect to in order to obtain information. When you google her name, the series, or her books you come up with a bunch of amazon things, her biography, a wiki page, google books, but nothing informing you on books that she's writing or anything in the works. Considering the series really isn't concluded in the slightest this just seems to be rather depressing. Perhaps its just writers block and she will come back to it in a few years, but that doesn't explain why the site is down with no explanation. Does anyone have any information saying otherwise or what she is doing in terms of publishing/writing new books?

That is The Floating Island by Elizabeth Haydon, the first book of The Lost Journals of Ven Polypheme series. There are currently three released so far.

I was talking about the event. Did you actually read the link? She's visiting a cafe today to discuss her work.

Yes, but that still doesn't give us an answer about the next SOA book, all we know is that she is going to go talk about her third book in the Lost Journals of Ven Polypheme series.

Too. Many. Quote. Boxes. Indifferent [:|] LOL!

Yes, that's true, MN, unless someone was actually able to make it to the cafe to ask her personally about her next SoA/WotKW book. Now, I know for sure I wasn't near enough to make it, but was anyone else? If so, did you find anything out? Inquiring minds want to know...Big Smile [:D]

It looks like it is set for today (Saturday), so if anyone can get there please let us know! Smile [:)]

It would take me between 8-10 hours to drive there, so I know I won't be able to make it.  Sad [:(]

I did a quick Google and found this , and also a site that notifies you when tours are scheduled for your area

Hopefully we'll get some news soon! Big Smile [:D]

Looks like it's six states out of my way. :( I wish she would do something in the Midwest, like a tour or book signing.
