Does anyone know how to make this stop?

The last four of my post have had this strange code above it. I have tried to edit my post to make it go away, and I cannot figure it out. I think Val mentioned it happening to her once and just deleting it and reposting it.

Does anyone else know what it is or how to make it stop happening?

No idea, but I might know someone that can figure it out.

That is the extra code that Microsoft Word adds to your text for formatting when you use it.  When you cut and paste directly from Word the codes come with it.  In a previous version of this site we had a button that would clean out the extra Word codes, but it's not available in this version.

I would suggest trying to save your word file as TEXT only and then try to copy it.

You could also try to use WordPad or Notebook instead of MS Word.

If you're using Word for it's spell checker, just look around, there are HUNDREDS of options for spell checking now-a-days.
