Welcome to the new but maybe not so improved edition of the Behind the Scenes Forum! We're glad to have you aboard, but please take note of a few things before you jump in and get started:
Please remember first and foremost that this is a forum that will discuss the entire Symphony of Ages, including "Threshold" and "The Assassin King". If you have not read any part of the series, please skip this forum if you don't want to have key parts of the stories revealed before you get a chance to read them, yourself. This will be a *spoilerific* forum, with the freedom to draw from all the books for lively and enlightening conversation.
As stated within the heading of this forum, real life traditions, lore, cultural influences and religious practices all contributed to making the Symphony of Ages the engaging and encompassing series of work that it has become. Be aware that there will be discussions of religious and cultural differences and similarities, and how they might have influenced the author's presentation of situations and topics in the series. In no way should these discussions become a debate of what is "right or wrong" depending on or used as an attempt to justify one's personal belief system. We would like this forum to become an open-minded exchange of ideas, and expect a reasonable and mature approach to discussing topics which have the potential to become inflammatory. If you cannot conduct yourself in a mature and objective manner, please refrain from participating in this forum. Posts which become personal attacks or are accusatory in nature, will be deleted with no further warning.
